HP has launched its new Pavilion dv7 laptop as a replacement to the desktop. The reasonably priced laptop offers unbeatable multimedia experience with its high end Centrino 2 technology.

Design
The laptop wears a refined glossy silver look with its sliver keyboard, deck, touch pad and finally a silver HP logo, in the lower right corner of the lid. The laptop offers HP's new "frameless" display with the flush surface providing a better frame for the screen thereby heightening its overall aesthetic appeal.

Features
The comes with the usual Pavilion features like the Altec Lansing stereo speakers, dual headphone jacks, a DVD burner with LightScribe, and an expansion port to connect to an HP docking station along with some high end extras like HDMI port for high-definition video and an eSATA port that's good for hooking up external SATA hard drives.

However, the laptop lacks an important high feature. Integrated Bluetooth and a Blu-ray drive are missing in this laptop.

Components
Pavilion dv7 is a well configured laptop containing a 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo P8400 CPU and an enormous 4GB of rapid 800MHz RAM, with 64-bit Windows Vista to take advantage of it.

Priced at $1,499, the laptop comes with a twelve month guarantee period covering labor and parts.
