If you are searching for an elegant and powerful computer for a sensible price, your search should end with the Advent 8215P laptop. The computer will catch your eye with its stunning blend of pink, silver, and black. Its screen also looks as attractive as its exterior. The Advent 8215P features a 15.4” WXGA Widescreen Display. It contains a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, which has been treated to reduce glare from light sources. The laptop also features 128 Megabyte Unified Memory Architecture (UMA) Graphics. In other words, the graphic chips have been fastened onto the motherboard itself. Thus, a portion of the computer’s primary memory is dedicated to video memory. Additionally, a Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium operating system supports the Advent 8215P, to provide you with a magnificent computer experience each and every time you boot it up.

The Advent 8215P is as powerful as it is eye-catching. It also features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. This includes 1.86 Gigahertz, 533 Megahertz Front-Side-Bus (FSB), and 1 MB of cache. FSB is the speed at which the processor (CPU) communicates with the Random Access Memory (RAM). Meanwhile, cache is the reserved portion of the primary memory. In total, the Advent 8215P laptop includes one gigabyte of memory, and 120-gigabyte Hard Drive. While PCs contain much more memory, remember that you cannot operate a PC on a bus, plane or deserted island!

If you require a more portable data storage device, then the Advent 8215P can deliver with its CD/DVD writer. The CD-ROM speed is 48x, while the DVD-Rom speed equals 8 x. Meanwhile the CD-RW speed equals 24x, while the DVD-RWs speed is 6x. What does the “X” represent? A 1X CD-ROM requires about 70 minutes to be entirely read. Thus, in a 48x speed CD-ROM drive, the disk rotates 48 times faster than a standard audio disk.

As laptops are more mobile than PCs, the specifications of the former’s battery are as equally important as its memory. If the laptop has no power source, then the amount of memory it contains is futile. The Advent 8215P laptop contains a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. These batteries provide a superior ratio of energy provided per weight unit, than the similar NiMH and NiCad batteries, Also, the Lithium-Ion batteries perform outstandingly in maintaining their charge while the laptop remains idle. The maximum battery life of the Advent’s Lithium-Ion battery is a whopping two hours.

While a solid laptop battery has significance, transferring data from your computer to other sources (and vice versa) has become one of the most cherished features of both PCs and laptops. Fortunately, the Advent 8215P offers several means. The modem’s speed is 56k, and the laptop itself is wireless enabled. In other words, simply position the laptop near a wireless hotspot, and you are ready to zap out e-mails, charts, photos, songs, and videos! Three Universal Serial Bus (USB) connections and one Firewire Connection have also been built into the machine.

Shopping for a laptop computer can seem like a laborious process, considering the number of models on the market. You might assume that the hugest and most renowned computer manufacturers always produce the best computers. However, remember that quality models are not exclusive to the heavyweight brands on the market. Some smaller and less famous companies can also provide quality machines at competitive prices. Consider the advent of the Advent 8215P laptop!
