The laptops in the computer industry seem to always want to compete with each other to own the title as the best laptop in the industry. Certainly this is also the case with some of Advent's laptops. The Advent 7211 deserves an award as it is truly a great laptop for any advanced computer user who finds themselves usually wanting more RAM, hard drive, and speed than the usual laptop prospects that are available. If you're looking into the Advent Brand, the Advent 7211 is definitely one of the laptops that will give you everything described above with excellent performance.

The only downside to this laptop from Advent, however, is that they chose to place an Intel Celeron 450 processor in their 7211 instead of using an Intel Pentium or another better processor. It seems that with all the other great upgrades and things that they used in the Advent 7211 that they would have used a more decent processor, but the Intel Celeron does just fine for the job since that's the only type of the Advent 7211 available.

Aside from that little quirk, though, the Advent 7211 is much more than you could probably ask for in a great laptop for a reasonable price. The 7211 is loaded with a gigabyte of RAM, which is more than any average computer user needs, along with 100 Gigabytes of hard drive, a dual-layer DVD drive that's also a rewriter, as well as a 15.4 inch widescreen display. All of these features of the 7211 take it up to the next level where the performance of a laptop should be in today's computer era.
The amount of RAM that Advent placed in the system, which is 1 Gigabytes, as well as the speed of the processor at 2.0 Gigahertz, is more than enough power to be able to have more than three or four program applications open at once without even slowing down the computer's performance. This laptop would be perfect for any beginning computer user although they may not know what to do with all the speed and ability of the computer. But at an excellent price, retailing for just over three hundred pounds, the Advent 7211 would make anyone a compatible laptop.

An also important feature about the 7211 is that a Wireless connection card is included in the system so that users won't have to go long without using the internet. That's why this laptop would make a good friend for any university student who absolutely needs the internet at a university campus or just anywhere that there is a wireless network available. Additionally, business professionals of all types and professional gamers could even buy this laptop and make do just fine.

There is more than enough power to have plenty of games stored on it, as well as have thousands of documents in word processing programs that won't slow down or hinder the system at all. This is definitely a laptop that most people would enjoy if they had it; the Advent 7211 computer does a great job at making everything perform well and efficient for the laptop users who know what they need!

Just bought one from PC World (for £349) but it doesn't boot up! Looks like it's been sold and returned already judging by the state the packaging was in too so be careful to check yours before you leave the shop if it's been opened. As they are in high demand it looks like they are just put back on sale if they are retured with little or no quality control done on them beforehand. Not too impressed with PC World atm! Will comment on the laptop when I get one that works. image

I was just wondering can i replace or install another graphics card to this as the one that i have in my Advent 7211 is an Ati Xpress 200m and it's a little sluggish. On 3D mark01 and Sisoftware Sandra they say that there is an Pci slot J1100. if this is true does where would this be and would it mean i can upgrade my graphics card. any info would help. thanks. image
